Wednesday War Story

March 16, 2016 by Kallie Peterson Leave a Comment

GrassAs an added bonus for re-signing a long term lease, an owner promised their tenants that they would “re sod” the yard of the rental property.  The tenants were ecstatic and even helped to “lay out” the grass.  The next morning, the owner receives a call from the tenants stating that the grass is missing!  He rushed over, and they were right, the entire area of sod has been rolled up and removed.

The owner calls the police, makes a report, and calls their insurance company. They then proceed to order in more sod and replace what was stolen.  The day after it is installed, it is once again “missing”.

After replacing the missing sod 3 times, the owner sets up a hidden camera trying to find the culprit.  Much to his surprise, the tenants are waiting till dark, rolling it back up and re-selling it on KSL pocketing the extra spending money.

Needless to say, the tenants were VERY surprised when the police actually showed up the next morning and arrested them!
