Wednesday War Story

March 9, 2016 by Kallie Holm Leave a Comment

DoorTenants who were furiously upset about being evicted from their apartment for non-payment of rent, were so enraged that they tried to “stick it” to the owner. They removed every door knob in the home (roughly 13 doors) as well as all of the cabinet knobs. Luckily for the owners, they had a hefty deposit that would cover the court costs & rent owed. Upon receiving their deposit disposition back of owing over $500 in damages, they filed a lawsuit at the court against the owner!!!

Not only did they end up having a judgement for the damages, the judge threw the book at them, he granted a wage garnishment and payment schedule.  I bet those tenants think twice before trying to “screw over” their next landlord.
