Wednesday War Story

January 11, 2017 by Kallie Peterson Leave a Comment

After a long term tenant moved out of a property, the owner did the move-out walk through. It didn’t seem to be in bad shape, so the tenant was returned their deposit. Work, home and general life got in the way and the home sat vacant until the owner hired a management company to get the property rented.

During the first showing of the property, the potential tenant opened up the cupboard to see the amount of space… A HUGE swarm of fruit flies flew directly into their face.  The cause? The previous tenants had absentmindedly left a small bag of potatoes in the corner cupboard (an easy mistake) and they had gone unnoticed for over 4 months!

This is yet another reason to work with a professional experienced management company!
